Dr Nigel Abraham PhD, MSc, FIBMS has more than 20 years experience as an assay development scientist, specialising in the fields of Immunology, Endocrinology and allergy. He trained originally in pathology at St. Georges Medical School and went on to study Immunology at the University of Surrey.
As specialist in his field he has been involved in extensive research in the field of chemical mediators of allergic disease and salivary hormone diagnostics. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science and a scientific member of the British Society for Ecological Medicine.
He is currently the Scientific Director of Individual WellBeing Diagnostic Laboratories (I.W.D.L.), which is a specialist laboratory team performing the most comprehensive range of tests in functional and nutritional medicine currently available in the UK.
Dr Abraham keenly participates in both student and practitioner education lecturing at many of the major education centres for nutritionists as well as regularly holding seminars and presentations as part of the continuing professional development for practitioners. He has published a number of scientific papers as well as putting the case for functional medicine to the media.
